thanks for sharing this. I am just processing a new special needs diagnosis we received for our son. I did not seek out special needs adoption, but God has brought us into it (with two now). Do you happen to know of good recourse for drug addicted babies?
oops, that should have said "resources". We are already connected to OT, etc. I am actually looking for good journal articles or information on life long affects of neonatal addiction.
Thanks for sharing. I read all of this a couple years ago when the girls first came to live with us. Amazing how the characteristics that I named then are more apparent now. I just don't know where to go from here. We are moving along and they are still learning in school, but some of the other issues haven't improve and may have gotten more apparent. Is there things we need to be doing or just adapting and continuing to teach again and again?
